You would think that as an engineer , replacing a motherboard would be harder than fixing a Laptop with virus . How wrong you could be.

Viruses are our biggest headaches. There are hundreds of thousands of them !!

Picture the scene here I am waiting for a callout to fix a Laptop .The phone rings and some one calls saying i have the Natas32.worm, can you fix it?

.hmmmmm Can I fix it ? What is it? What does it do? Ive never heard of it. Hold on I am a pc engineer surely I can fix anything on a Laptop. Well in this case you have to be like a doctor and prescribe anti biotics. Yes i can remove the virus but usually this means reinstalling the entire operating system .I personally have found many of the large brands of antivirus software  to be a complete waste of money .You buy the software from the shop install it , It does a scan and doesnt detect any virus but you know you have one becuase a message comes up saying you have one. So you go on the net to do an update , the virus is still there. What a nightmare !! So you ring the company  helpline and get told you have to pay another load of cash for their helpline. In their defence you will never be totally up to date with viruses as many come out every day. At PC DOCTOR NI we can remove any virus but we recommend installing Microsoft windows service pack 2 because of the windows firewall. Its very very good and blocks better than any antivirus software we have seen.
